Yorke opens a new chapter with “Telephone Calls”, the first of a run of singles to close out 2026. It follows a strong twelve months that took in “Technicolour” last November and “Technicolour: The Director’s Cut” in May, and there is a live show to come at the end of November to mark the first anniversary of “Technicolour”. Venue and date to be announced.
The track puts listeners in an intimate setting. A LoFi synth glides beneath Yorke’s vocal throughout, leaving his pen and flow to carry the single’s three minutes from start to finish. The chorus lands a relatable nod to the phone call as the way most of us now navigate plans and progress in daily life, and Yorke keeps returning to the idea with sharp, playful songwriting.
“Telephone Calls” is for rap fans who want to unwind while taking in genuinely sophisticated lyricism. Performed and produced by Yorke, and recorded in London.
Out now on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and iTunes, with more singles to follow before the end of the year.
