Yorke is a Trinidadian-born producer and rapper, currently carving out his sound in East London. His influences span a broad spectrum—from the intricate beats of Flying Lotus to the raw honesty of Kendrick Lamar, from the deep-rooted rhythms of reggae to the folky calypso of Trinidad and Tobago. His music reflects this fusion: a genre-fluid journey that moves seamlessly from the introspective pull of slower tracks like “The Storm” and “mirrors” to the infectious energy of dancefloor staples like “Chips” and “ratio.”
In 2021, after nearly two years of honing his craft, Yorke released his debut EP, Peur Eternus. With tracks like “The Storm,” “Riot,” and “Taylor,” he introduced a versatile, immersive sound—an impressive debut that felt both raw and intricately composed, revealing a multi-layered creative vision.
Building on Peur Eternus, Yorke continued to evolve through a string of singles, including the reflective “mirrors,” the reggae-tinged “210 breezy,” and the moody “nimwd.” These releases culminated in Never In My Wildest Dreams, his first mixtape—a product of two more years of self-discovery, collaboration, and focused experimentation. The mixtape captures Yorke’s artistic growth, combining introspection with ambition. It marks a significant step forward, showcasing the deepening of a voice and vision in constant motion.
In August 2024, Yorke joined forces with producer Eyal for There’s Something Going On, a joint EP that pulses with the vibrant chaos and layered stories of city life. Their artistic chemistry gave rise to four tracks—each distinct, yet tied together by Yorke’s laid-back but incisive delivery. Describing the project, Yorke says:
“I intentionally focused on making music that was fun and replayable, while still keeping some of the emotionality that defines my music. That’s why the wordplay is clever and playful throughout—but if you really listen, all the songs are about something in my life.”
Yorke’s latest release, “Survival” (2025), is a sun-soaked collaboration with fellow Trinidad native Kaz Fuego. Built on an old-school Eddie Okwedy sample, the track blends relaxed flows with Yorke’s signature tropical vibe. The duo’s effortless chemistry creates a smooth, hypnotic groove—best enjoyed on a beach, surrounded by friends, as past and present blur into one.
Live, Yorke brings the same energy and intimacy to the stage. He’s performed across London at venues including Brixton’s iconic Hootananny, Hoxton’s Folklore, Shepherd’s Bush’s Next Door Records, Dalston’s Mustache Bar, and Servant Jazz Quarters. His shows are raw and direct—just Yorke, a mic, and a DJ deck—offering an electric, no-frills connection with his audience.
